Reference photo — start and end of the movement.

How to perform

  1. 1.Strap on the ankle cuff and attach it to the low pulley.
  2. 2.Face the machine, holding on for balance.
  3. 3.Lean your torso slightly forward.
  4. 4.Drive the straight leg back, extending the hip.
  5. 5.Squeeze the glute at the top and return under control.

Common mistakes

  • ●Arching the lower back to gain range
  • ●Using torso momentum
  • ●Bending the knee on the kick
  • ●Very short range without squeezing the glute

Proper technique

Keep the core braced and back neutral. The extension comes from the hip, not the lower back. Pause briefly, squeezing the glute at the end point.
