How to perform
- 1.Stand with dumbbells at shoulder height, palms forward.
- 2.Bend your knees slightly into a quarter squat.
- 3.Drive your legs explosively and press the dumbbells overhead.
- 4.Lower under control to the shoulders and flow into the next rep.
Common mistakes
- ●Doing a deep squat instead of a quarter dip
- ●Desynchronizing legs and arms
- ●Arching the lower back on the press
- ●Letting the dumbbells crash down
Proper technique
The drive starts in the legs and transfers to the arms. Coordinate hip and knee extension with the press. Catch the weight with soft elbows and knees.
